In today’s marketing newsletter, I want to discuss mlm lead capture ad copy and how it affects your ability to generate leads for your business.
As you can imagine, I see a lot of lead capture pages on a daily basis. Each time someone orders MyAutoPilot Traffic, we load up their lead capture page in a web browser to ensure it is working before we drive traffic to the page.
Over the years, I’ve seen some really good lead capture pages. And some real dogs.
What do the good lead capture pages have in common? What is it about them that allows them to convert some much of the traffic into leads?
Good lead capture pages do 2 things really well. They..
1) Hit a pain point.
2) They offer a solution to that pain.
When it comes to marketing, you have to understand 2 things about your prospects:
a) People buy on emotions. But we justify our purchases based on logic – after the sale.
b) Only 2 things motivate people to take action: i) the promise of gain, or ii) the fear of loss.
Fear of loss is the greater motivator.
So what does all this mean when it comes to good lead capture pages?
It means that your headlines, sub-headlines and page ad copy should be used to get the prospect emotionally involved. The page should hit the prospects “pain” points. Then it should aggravate that pain. It should then hint to a solution that you can provide IF they opt into the page to learn more. The page should also give the prospect a fear of loss i.e. this pain will continue indefinitely unless they take action.
Take a look at your lead capture page. Is your page employing these same elements?
If so, you’re well on your way to a highly converting lead capture page. The more bizop web traffic you send at that page, ultimately the more people you’ll sponsor into your business.. pain free!
