Did you make a good decision?.. That is, a good decision to join your MLM or network marketing company?
I hope you answered “Yes” because more and more people every day are looking for ways to create additional income from home. And you have what they need!
A recent Harris Poll explored the emergence of what they call the “YouEconomy“.. a shift in the American economy that is expanding opportunities for people to become entrepreneurs. The report findings show that 33% of U.S. adults are earning a secondary income in today’s YouEconomy. This is projected to be 50% by the year 2020.
So what are the 33% doing to make a secondary income?
* 22% are selling items through an online platform
* 12% worked as an independent contractor/consultant
* 10% worked for themselves or managed a small firm or business
* 5% rented out their assets
* 4% worked as an independent direct sales rep
* 4% worked as a ride-sharing driver
The YouEconomy has a broad appeal. The demographics of the YouEconomy are described as follows:
+ Of those that made money in last 12 months; 40% were male; 27% female (I know.. doesn’t add up for me either!)
+ The younger ages 18-34 tend to be more likely to earn in the YouEconomy
+ Adults with children in the household are more likely to earn compared to those without children
+ 71% of those earning are supplementing their income; 29% rely on this as their primary income
+ Men are more likely to call this their primary income (37% men vs. 18% women)
+ 53% of adults report that the earned income represents less than 20% of their total income. 17% of adults report their earnings to be 80% of their income.
So what’s the bottom line?
The bottom line is that 1 in 3 adults today are looking for great ways to supplement their income. And in 4 years time, 1 of every 2 adults will be looking for the same.
So ask yourself.. did you make a good decision to join your MLM company?
