This MLM lead generation article outlines how to determine which business opportunity lead type is best for your business.

When it comes to working MLM Leads for your network marketing opportunity, time and money should be your most important considerations.

If your time is a premium, consider the Real Time Pre-Screened Leads, the regular Pre-Screened Leads or the Local Telephone Area Code Pre-Screened Leads as you’ll have more quality prospecting conversations for your time spent on the telephone.

If money is a concern or if you’re on a tight budget, you might consider the Surveyed Leads or the Double Opt Leads. While you’ll still be able to find people for your business opportunity, you’ll take more time going through greater numbers of people to find those prospects.

Now let me explain the various network marketing lead types for you as follows:

Real Time Pre-Screened Leads

I consider the Real Time Pre-Screened Leads to be top-of-the-line when it comes to MLM Leads. Real Time Pre-Screened Leads are created when our call center phones either the Double Optin Leads or the Surveyed Leads to verify that “Yes” the prospect is a real person and that “Yes” that prospect is really looking for a way to make money from home.

Pre-Screened Leads are commonly referred to as Telephone Verified Leads or Tele-verified Leads.

Real Time Pre-Screened Leads are made available to you just moments after the prospect has been screened by the call center.

Some of our customers have described this lead type as the best lead they’ve ever worked in all their years of networking.

Pre-Screened Leads

Regular Pre-Screened Leads or Local Telephone Area Code Pre-Screened Leads area again created in our call center. They are 24 to 48 hours in age when we make them available to you.

I consider all Pre-Screened Leads to be “Prospects” versus “Suspects” as they’ve been qualified further by our call center. Essentially they’ve jumped through another qualification hoop.

My experience is that when you use Pre-Screened Leads, you’ll have more quality prospecting conversations for your time spent on the telephone when you compare them to the other lead types.

Surveyed Leads.

Surveyed Leads are people that have provided us their contact information and answered a few survey questions about their interests. While I personally don’t believe the surveyed information they’ve provided (prospects will tell you anything online in order to find out what’s out there), it serves its purpose as it creates just another hoop for the prospect to jump through in order to become a lead.

When comparing lead types, I consider Surveyed Leads to be more “Suspect” than “Prospect” as we haven’t talked to them on the telephone. Hence we don’t know how serious they are about making money from home. As such, that lead is priced lower than the Pre-Screened Leads.

Double Optin Leads.

Double Optin Leads are created in a manner similar to the Surveyed Leads except that no survey data has been collected from the prospect. Again, I consider a Double Optin Lead to be more “Suspect” than “Prospect” since we don’t know much about them. We don’t know how serious they are. And of course, the lead is priced lower accordingly compared to the Pre-Screened Leads.

Summary

So let’s recap the comparison of MLM lead types for your business opportunity. Time and money are your most important considerations when it comes to working MLM Leads.

If your time is a premium, select the Pre-Screened Leads, Real Time Pre-Screened Leads or the Local Area Code Pre-Screened Leads. Those leads will provide you more quality conversations for your time spent on the telephone.

If money is a concern or you’re on a tight budget, consider the Surveyed Leads or the Double Optin Leads. While you’ll still be able to find people interested in making money from home, you’ll go through greater numbers of prospects to find those that are serious.

Email Lead Tip #3: Choosing the “FROM”.

The “FROM” name is very important as many readers will scan their inbox based on the “FROM” name. Readers are more likely to open an email message from someone they know.

So what do you do if you’re using MLM email leads or autoresponder leads and the person doesn’t know you?

I suggest using a “FROM” name that will “stand out of the crowd”. One way to do that is to choose a “FROM” that is either a single name or phrase instead of a personal name. It’s unexpected and will throw your reader off a bit by generating curiosity.

I’ve seen others use their toll-free telephone number as the “FROM” name. That always picked my interests.

So again, try using a “FROM” name that will either stand out of the crowd or that will create curiosity. That way your autoresponder lead prospects will be more likely to click the email to resolve their curiosity.

Email Lead Tip #4: Choosing a Subject Line

The email subject line is probably the second more important consideration when sending email to your mlm email leads.

Why?

How important is a subject line?

Choosing the right subject line can improve click-through rates by 25 percent to 50 percent or more.

It really pays to test various subject lines to see which will yield the best response. I recommend that you test a single subject line on a minimum of 1,000 to 5,000 mlm email leads. That way you’ll have enough data to make comparisons to the next subject line.

Which subject line tested the best?

It was fast and simple. And it produced immediate results.

I remember when I changed my emails from plain text emails to HTML emails. That meant that I could vary the text font sizes and colors in the email messages. I even included graphics and audio. When I did that, response rates increased even more. Conversions went off the chart.

Then spammers began to abuse email as a marketing medium.

ISPs began to disable the audios. They followed that by placing HTML emails into the “JUNK” folder.

And today, 70% of all graphics included in emails will be blocked.

Times have changed.

Email Lead Tip #2: Plain Text vs. HTML Email format.

Each format has its advantages and disadvantages.

A plain text is easy to create and requires no knowledge of HTML. It’s the same message format that you commonly send as personal correspondence to a friend. It’s also low key. Since it contains no graphics, it’s less likely to end up in the junk folder.

The downside to using plain text email is that you can’t track the number of emails that have been opened. That tracking is performed by the inclusion of graphics in the email message.

HTML emails are common for companies. They are more engaging than plain text messages and can include graphics to track open rates.

The downside to using HTML email is that 70% of the graphics are blocked. That means you won’t get accurate open rate data for your email.

My choice: plain text email
